Sunflower season is right around the corner, and it’s another one of my favorite seasons! The beauty of sunflowers and your family is unmatched! So, I’ve gathered my best tips and tricks when it comes to deciding what to wear for your sunflower photoshoot!
What To Wear For Your Sunflower Photoshoot
Warm Tones, Always
The color of your outfit is a HUGE deal! My best advice?! Avoid bright or neon colors as much as possible. Stick to warm tones! Think of deep greens, dark reds, warm oranges, navy blues, browns, ivory or beige. This will work best with the rich colors of the yellow sunflowers and the deep green of the leaves!
Textures & Length
When deciding what to wear for your sunflower photoshoot, it’s important to remember that you’ll want to be comfortable, first and foremost, but that outfits with some length and texture to them are best! Sunflower season is around the warmer months, so keep that in mind when planning your outfits! Choose a flowy maxi dress for Mom, a velvet romper for a little one, and a light button-up for Dad. Dresses and jeans work great for little ones too!
Patterns
Remember to stay away from harsh patterns and big, distracting logos! Lace detailing, floral patterns, and embroidery work GREAT. Mix and match your patterns and textures, and don’t feel like you have to be super “matchy-matchy” with everyone. The more variety in the warm tones, patterns, and textures, the better!
