As a long-time Virginia family photographer, one of my FAVORITE times of the year…sunflower season! There is nothing quite like the beauty of sunflower field family photos. The bright, bold colors of the sunflowers are complemented by a warm sunset featuring YOU—my dream! This family joined me for an evening of fun, and it couldn’t have gone any better. Documenting The REAL Moments
This family had a BLAST! It was my first time documenting their lives, and I am already looking forward to the next. The kids were SO MUCH FUN! And their parents made my job soooo easy. They love to play with their sweet babies, and that’s what I enjoy documenting.
Those moments of pure fun between you all. That’s when the magic happens! During your session, have FUN! Don’t let the stress of “family photos” creep up on you. Enjoy your kids, laugh, and smile with them. Don’t worry, I’ll be running and chasing if I have to, to keep you all in front of my lens. And I love it!! It’s okay! It’s all about being you as a family. Toss one another, twirl together, go on blanket rides—just LIVE in these moments.
I don’t want you to force your little one to be happy; if they run off, chase after them, grab them, and toss them up, I want to photograph THOSE moments. Just imagine we are in your backyard or at the playground, and your kids have your undivided attention. How would you play with them? Get on their level and just join in on the fun. That’s when we get those tender, real, moments and genuine smiles from everyone.
