As a Virginia family photographer, nothing means more to me than being able to document your family year after year. Lucky for me, I’ve been able to document this sweet family for a few years now. And each year it just gets better and better! This year I joined them at Great Country Farms, which sits in one of the valleys of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is BEYOND stunning here, and it is one of my favorite locations to document all seasons of life!
The Stunning Blue Ridge Mountains

The Blue Ridge Mountains run from Georgia to Pennsylvania, covering around 550 miles! These mountains are known for their beautiful blue haze that covers the peaks and valleys. The Blue Ridge Mountains are home to an abundance of wildlife, beautiful flowers, and the most luscious trees. They are an absolute gift to the world!
The Blue Ridge Mountains provide us with so much more than just breathtaking environmental scenes. They offer a wide range of activities, including hiking, camping, fishing, rock climbing, and, of course, the infamous Blue Ridge Parkway, a scenic drive that runs through the mountains. If you haven’t yet visited, it is WORTH the drive!
A Close Connection
This sweet family comes back to me each year, and we have the best time. They are the epitome of loving and playing with one another. They do it so effortlessly, and it comes so naturally to this incredible family! One of the best parts about documenting this sweet family?! The kiddos and I are BFFs! We play games together, laugh together, and have shared so many smiles. There is nothing better than children feeling so comfortable around me—an absolute WIN in my eyes. Over the last three years, I have gained their trust, and they feel confident to show off their personalities. It makes my job SO easy and SO enjoyable!
