Before we get into the details of the poses, it’s important to know that there is a sweet spot in age to get these poses. We want your newborn to be as fresh and sleepy as possible. Babies tend to be sleepiest in the early days, so I usually suggest anything before 2 weeks is perfect! We can safely and gently pose to perfection and soak up all the newborn sweetness.

One of my favorite parts about a newborn session is getting your little one wrapped all cozy and comfy! The way their little hands can be posed to hold on to the wrap or interlock is just the SWEETEST. I have a huge variety of wraps, swaddles, and props to help bring your vision to life. Let’s show off all their tiny sweet details, while they are wrapped in the sweetest accessories. Whether we have them curled in a little ball, laying in a basket, or laying on their tummy, trust me you will fall even more in love!
The Little Details
It’s all in the details, right?! RIGHT! Your baby will only be this little for so long, so one of my favorite poses for fine art newborn sessions is any way we can capture your baby’s tiny details. I want to document every little thing about them. Their tiny finger and toes, wispy baby hairs, little ears, and that cute button nose. This is the one time we can truly freeze the moment and have it for years to look back on.
As much as I love documenting all the little ones, I definitely won’t forget you! I want you to hold your baby close, share a sweet kiss with them, hold onto their tiny finger, and cuddle with them any chance you get. Take in the moment and love your sweet baby! This is the beginning of the best part of your life!
