Oh yes – Typical family session with Norma. Running, playing, tickling and lots of kisses and snuggles! I was pretty excited to work with the May Family again this year to celebrate their daughters first birthday. We started planning her daughters first birthday earlier in the year and I recommended a family session. There are so many things that babies can do at this age and extra hands can make it fun and special. Part of photographing a baby’s birthday is documenting all of the new found milestone they have learned. Such as crawling, standing and walking. These are their biggest achievements and they are so proud of themselves. It makes it so special to include family members at these sessions to help them show of. Holding hands, spreading out a blanket to crawl on or tossing it up like a parachute to walk under. I love having their most important family members apart and it really showcases what they can do. We decided we’d move forward with family photos and finish up with an outdoor cake smash and floral milk bath during sunset.
